Commercial Building Inspection in Melbourne
A commercial building inspection will generally take a qualified building inspector 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the size of the property. The building inspector will conduct a visual inspection of the commercial property against the Australian Standards AS4349.0.

The building inspection will assess the following items:
- The electrical work on the property;
- All plumbing and drainage;
- The conditions of the windows and doors;
- Any fittings and fixtures within the commercial property;
- All joinery (kitchen cabinetry, cupboards etc);
- Walls;
- Underfloor space;
- The roof and roof space;
- Driveways;
- Car Parks;
- Retaining walls;
- Outbuildings (sheds etc);
- Guttering and downpipes.
A commercial building inspection is often combined with a pest inspection.
A commercial building inspection can also include a visual inspection of Council Assets adjoining the commercial property.
The building inspection will not include estimates for the cost of repairing any problems that are found.
